So, is this a moral conflict?

Sometimes after teh misses and I put the kids down for bed I'll run up to the spirit shop and pick up a bottle of wine for her and maybe some Chimay for myself.

But I have this habit of opening the rear driver door and putting teh booze in my daughter's car seat (sans child of coarse) for a safe ride home

See if I put it anywhere else, teh bottles clang together and roll around teh vehicle

We drop teh little ones off tonight to stay over with a relative. On the way home I stop at my favorite liquor store and purchase the evenings beverages. My wife chooses a super sweet red wine that is more like kool-ade, and I pick up a bomber of Chimay Blue.

As per habit when we walk out to the car I put teh beverages in my normal spot only to look up to my wife's concerned stare. She says, "You just put booze in your daughter's car seat." and she doesn't exactly look entertained by it either.

I personally feel that since the seat is empty, it's perfectly available as a transport device, and although I didn't get in "trouble" over it, I got the impression that my wife thinks it's messed up.

What say you TGP?

You're thinking practically, she's thinking irrationally.

Reminds me of the story here from about ten years back where some guy threw a keg into his back seat forgetting the kid was in there. Luckily the kid wasn't hurt. It was light beer.

I don't see a problem of putting them in the car seat. It makes sense to me.

Why do you hide your drinking from the kids?
They will eventually figure out that you are drinking and hiding, and they may start to do the same.

What would be better is using the cup holder in the child seat if there is one. Or have your wife sit in the child seat and put them on her lap.

It's not a moral issue at all on any level, anyway, shape or form... but don't upset the missus.

Don't even try to rationalize or explain it to her because YOU ARE WRONG!

Are you serious? Yikes.

That is what you read in to this?
