Bogner Alchemist is it loud?

Love what I am hearing with this head. How would it compete with a 6505+ in a band setting? I know some amps seem louder than they are like a old Marshalls for example. 50 watt JCM 800 was LOUD. Anyway, I would like to hear users experiences with it.

It's actually pretty loud but not 100watt Plexi kinda loud. My old 5150 combo was a freaking loud amp (considering it was 'only' 60w) but the Alchemist has plenty of volume. Maybe not huge clean headroom as it's only 40w but it has plenty of grunt through a 4x12 when driven.

min is plenty loud. Keep in mind that it's a 40 watt amp, so it won't stay clean at super high volumes, but you should be able to get all the volume you need.
I run my ALchemist into a Marshall 1960A cab with a 'X' pattern on V30s and G75T celestions. On the Mercury channel with the volume about 4, I get a really sweet controllable feedback, and enough grunt to get hear loud and clear above the rest of the band.
