Best clean tones from which "Dumble" inspired amp

Wondering about people's experience with clean tone through amps that are at least somewhat inspired by the Dumble... 6L6 based amps specifically.

The amps I am interested in comparing would be Fuchs, RedPlate, Glaswerks, Carol Ann, Brown Note, Ceriatone, others ?

Anyone who has owned or played through more than one of these, so that you can compare... and who personally are very interested in the very nicest clean guitar sound through a good quality amp.

I love OD... but my main focus is great clean tone... articulate... sweet... 3D... full sounding clean tone... to get lost in.

I know that Dumble type amps are maybe more known for and sought out for their OD characteristics ... and I love that OD for sure. But I would not want to own an amp, even with great OD if it did not also have awesome clean sound.

Very interested in other's experience with this.

Morgan released a d style not too long ago. Add the SW50 to the list.

I'm definitely interested in all this as well!

My personal observations

My Carol Anns have a lot of sparkley character...... Brown Note was similar.

Glaswerks are a thicker sounding clean if you will.

My buddy's Redplate seemed closer to the GW to me.

My Two Rock will ring for days !

I've owned almost all of the d inspired amps. My favorites for cleans are:

Two Rock TS1 (w/vintage NOS parts from Twin Reverb)
Carol Ann OD2100
Two Rock Classic Type 3

in that order.

Santa Cruz

The 70's or Santa Cruz voicings have particularly beautiful cleans. Juicy is the adjective that comes to kind. The upshot is those cleans become spectacular overdrive as well. This style has required zero tweakage when going from clean to OD channel. Not always the case with some other voicings.

Interesting. Which have you played? Which have you loved?

Thanks...

I've owned a Fuchs ODS 50, Two-Rock Opal and a Redplate MDD.

I thought the Redplate had the nicest cleans. It could ACTUALLY sound like a Fender from any era if you wanted it to.

Fuchs DR conversion
Two Rock Opal (twice)
Two Rock Emerald Pro (twice)
Two Rock Onyx
Suhr OD 100
Two Rock J2
Glaswerks Zingaro
Bludo 70's
Glaswerks 70's Overdrive Deluxe

Favorites would be the first Opal, the Bludo and the current winner is the
GW Overdrive Deluxe. It just works for me at any volume and style I like to play including lap steel.

My favorite D-style cleans from those I've tried:

Glaswerks SOD II DeLeo voicing
Two Rock CRS V2
Redplate MDD

I honestly can't put them in order since they were all equally as good IMO. I prefer the OD on the GW above the others, though. Carol Anns have superb cleans, too, but I'm not sure I'd put them in the D-style category.

Macmax77 and jimpridx...

I see you both like the RedPlate MDD... have either of you played through the RedPlate Blackverb... Do you like the cleans of the MDD better than the RP Blackverb cleans ?

I've only played the MDD, so I can't compare it with the Blackverb.
