FGD - Finished Guitar Day

Hey there,

What do say about this Matrix concept art superstrat? It was once an ordinary Washburn MG-44 but now, it is not :-)

Not a fan of lighted fretboards, but the body finish is great.

How did you do that finish? It is a transparent print over the black finish that received lacquer later? Looks great!

pretty sweet. nice work. I'm not usually into floyds, but I've always wanted a superstrat with a maple board.

I'm perhaps one of the few people who didn't like the Matrix movie but that guitar looks pretty cool.

The guitar itself is not my thing, but what I love about this thread is the "FGD" bit.

I see all the NGD threads and that's fine and all, but when I get a new guitar home, the only thing I am thinking about when I get a new guitar is how much it needs to be modded. Once it's finished and I can look at it and say "hell yes now THAT is exactly how I want it" THEN it's a happy day for me. "Happy FGD" is much more relevant, at least IMO.

Thank you. As a bedroom guitarist, i dont like, no, i don't "need" the idea of LED illuminated necks. But, i swear, they are awesome on stage. They works well on having attention of ladies

Thanks. Material finished on two piece non-center joint alder. We get the print on the surface first and sealed. Applied primer and then sparkle black on rear while front side had masked. And applied clear coats at the end.

Thanks. And indeed with guitars with floyds. Hate them

I understand what you mean. Sometimes i really think as you do about "NGD" topics. I feel the the same way on many guitars, i virtually always can find something to mod on most guitars. It is not always about getting "better tone" but it is about having a connection on very personal level, feel it to be made just for you or something, hum???

Very cool. I'm not usually a fan of Super Strats, but I love the Matrix and it seems fitting for the theme.
