DT + HD500 Patchs

Maybe i missed it but is there a thread on here where people are posting their patchs for the DT+Hd500 setup?

I haven't seen any patches for just this combo. L6 CustomTone doesn't have this feature which is kinda crazy (espec considering the combination has been out for over a year - calling L6...can you copy...?).

I find personally that you can get sounds without alot of work though what tones are you looking for in particular?

If you want to try dialing in some 'different' settings, try these.

Select the Recto preamp on the HD with no cab sim, select class A/B, pentode on the DT and pick Topology III (not IV). It's much less touchy with the treble and presence IMHO and sounds great.

Select the JCM 800 preamp on the HD with no cab sim, class A/B, pentode and Top IV. Boost it with a Tube Drive sim. High gain Marshall!

Select the Bassman preamp with no cab sim, Class A, Triode and Top III. Boost with something (tube comp, TS or an external pedal - which is what I do) for some killer blues tones.

The rig really allows you to step outside the box and get some great sounds.

Yeah my main reason for posting this isn't to take other peoples tones but more look at how people are setting up their patches to get ideas/try things I havent.

How many people at using the dual amp feature? All of my patches I just use one amp.

Didn't mean to imply that you were trying to ape anyones tones...I actually love doing this as it helps you get familiar with how things can be tweaked.

I don't think many people use the dual amps with the DT.

I searched customtones for DT and came up with quite a few good responses.

Also, the L6-DT tones on the HD500 sound pretty good, imo, with only a little tweaking to volume or reverb.

So far, I am loving the DT-50, but I only spent a day with it.

somewhere on the line6 website there is a hd500/ dt amp demo with a Dutch fellow, Joost, I think, that has some patches you can try out if you register your email with them
does help with modelers to get a bit of help, seeing what others are doing

I was goofing around with Joost's presets. He has a bunch of DT tones in his bundle http://line6presets.com I don't know if any of these were in the generic loads on the HD500.

No there is some good stuff in the pack. I especially like the way he dials in effects, very usable.

guy my hd edit wont open the file. Anyone else having this issue?

aHH, YEA I remember now.

He had some HD400 files. You can download them and rename the extension to h5e instead of h4e

I'd also love a place to share JTV workbench presets, or whole 'dream rig' presets for that matter!

Search via variax for patches. There are a couple REALLY good ones, imo.
