If at all possible, you should play before you pay. Nothing worse than getting a guitar you can't stand. Also be honest about what your really looking to get out of the guitar.

What kind of music are you going to play with the guitar? Got any pics? I'm not familar with the Yamaha model. Does the ASAT have a traditional tele config or does it have those G&L ASAT P-90 looking pickups (they don't sound like P-90's, they sound pretty bright). Is that Ibanez one of those shredder guitars, does it have a trem? If so what kind?

I think we need more info.

Thanks for your responses. I am learning to play. I like rock music (not heavy metal), blues, ballads and country.

My favorite guitarists are Clapton and Santana. My favorite groups are Boston, Beatles, Toto, Journey, Bee Gees, and Bread.

Here are the links that show the guitars:

I think personally I would go for the ASAT, I think it will get you closer to the kind of sounds your after.

All nice guitars.
I like the Yamaha for you. A Humbucker in the bridge that can be split, so you can have that "Cream-and-after-Cream" Clapton sound. They are well-made guitars.
All three are good choices, though. You did your homework.
Have fun, and whenever you need some playing tips or help, ask on TGP. If it's one thing most of us here enjoy doing, it's getting new players on the right track.

FYI: Ask 10 Musicians for a recommondation and you'll get 15 ideas. ;-)

Like IPLAYLOUD said, they all seem like pretty good choices.

In my opinion the Yamaha is the most versatile. The Ibanez is the coolest looking and the G&L probably has the highest quality. Tough choice.
