I'd have to say it's The Cubs - and I'm a life-long fan

The Mets are giving your Cubs a run for their money.

What in God's name is going on there? It's like something you would see at the end of a bad miniature golf hole.

Climbing Mt. Everest might qualify as "epic". This does not.

But wouldn't that be epic in a positive sense? This is supposed to be epic in a negative sense, and it definitely qualifies for that title.

That's even worse than the Disneyesque rocks and fountain at Angel Stadium--put in not surprisingly when Disney owned the team. I expect the rocks to part and a ride complete with screaming customers to come shooting through at any moment. (Though "Flash Mountain" moments wouldn't be so bad!)

The bad part won't be that it goes off once in a while when the home team hits a home run, that's okay with me. It's that you have to look at it the rest of the game. Something like that really dominates the stadium and is really out of place.

I don't think anything matches the 86 world series.

but you'd have to put the 2004 ALCS where the yankees
were up 3 games to zip and actually won game three 19 to 8

That's pretty awful, but still not as embarrassing as this:

depends. as it stands right now, the Mets will finish last in the East, but still win more games than the Cubs. if Wright, Santana, and Bay perform and can be moved, they could be a 100 loss team.

that said, both teams are on the right path with their forward thinking front offices, and will completely redevelop their minor league systems on the way back to contention.
