Just Discovered OK Computer...
Never been a huge Radiohead fan... Always aware of their work, but never crazy about it unless in kind of an eccentric mood.
But, I found my way through the OK Computer record today and wow. I'm hooked. There's not a bad track on this album. Every one is super rich instrumentally. I'm hooked! Why didn't you guys tell me??? |

I wasn't a fan either but years ago I saw a live concert on DirecTV. If there is a latter-day Pink Floyd, this band is it.

The Bends and OK computer are in my Top 10 all time. Kid A not far behind.
They also have a live album - whose name escapes me and i'm too lazy to google - which is fantastic!

I was a huge fan from The Bends up to Hail To The Thief. Kinda lost track of them since them, but now that I think of it, I have the last album somewhere....lol.
They had a run of 4-5 pretty incredible albums, with OK Computer being the masterpiece in most folk's eyes. Johnny Greenwood is one of the guys that got me into exploring pedals and analog synths. Mega-creative. |

We tried, you were off listening to something else. I just went and listened to 'Exit Music' after seeing this post. 'Subterranean Homesick Alien' is such a great ethereal song, so well done and it sounds so good on a good sound system cranked up fully.

OK Computer is nothing less than the greatest album since Sgt Pepper's.

You should try 'In Rainbows'. I think it's their best album. Mixes the commercial sound of OK Computer with the experimental sound of Amnesiac and Kid A.

The run of Bends/OK Computer/Kid A has to be one of the strongest three-acts of any band, past or present.

I believe it's called "I Might Be Wrong". Fantastic record. Congrats on finding OK Computer! Definitely a great intro to Radiohead. I remember reading somewhere that is was "their attempt at writing a silly pop record". I'd say that's the most pretentious thing I've ever heard and that they failed miserably because they actually made a timeless art-rock record. Can't win em' all.
