Fender Bassman TV twelve
Just bought a Bassman TV twelve to go with my P-bass and the tone is pure Motown, love the simplicity of the amp and the light weight. Fender discontinued the Bassman TV line which is a shame but they were too expensive for what they are and many people like having graphic EQ's, built in compressors, etc. Still, I was able to get the amp new for a blow out price and like it better than anything else I've tried.

I've got the Bassman TV 15 out on a one month rental from L & M, and I like the tone enough to buy it .... and think I will !! It has that old school tone with my preference for flatwounds and sounds good for roots rock, folk and Motown. I must demo my active fretless and see how it is with jazz horn bands.

I had the same experience, I put flat wound Chromes on my P-Bass and into the Bassman TV the tone was so pure and full sounding that I was shocked. I have considered buying a Bassman TV ten and putting the chassis in a regular Bassman 4X10 cab with a closed back, put some 10" neo's in there and it could be a killer amp!!!
