Owned one and although they are great amps, it didn't blow me away. I actually liked the VC better. I liked the Komet Concorde better than both.

Which wizard does he play mostly? What about live? Sound like a pretty clean tone so does he use the wizard plexi clone type ? Are they worth the price when buying new(are they that good)???

I am not sure about in the studio but live he uses the Modern Classic. I do not think they are worth the price new. Now that he only sells direct and doesn't use dealers, prices are crazy because you have to pay a duty tax. Much better off going for a used one. They are out there if you are patient. They are great amps, but like I said in my previous post, they didn't blow me away. After all the searching for the ultimate plexi type tone with countless amps, I ended up keeping my Metroamp plexi kit they put together for me and recently have installed Merren iron. Did a side by side comparison with the Vintage classic and my Metroamp and liked the Metroamp better. The VC might have had a little more clarity but the Metroamp has a growl that is just awesome.
