Flashback delay question??
Does everyone experience a drop in volume when the looper mode is engaged.
I sorta strum along as I turn the model knob and when I run into the looper patch, things just get quieter. Is this expected behavior or something not right? I usually just use the tape or mod, haven't even tried the looper til today.

Yea, I think you get about unity with the effect level set at max when using the looper.

good then I can calm down, it works perfectly, I am just too lazy to explore all the tones when I get something new, I don't loop so it makes sense that I just figured this out. Is there a good reason it works this way or what. I also notice the other knobs do nothing in loop mode, bet thats the normal thing right??

Yep, sounds all normal. TC gave a reason that I can't recall.
Do check out the Toneprints! If you like the echo, you will like Matt Beck's Echo

I'm thinking about picking up a Boss RC-2 for practicing purposes, the Flashback's looper is a weak link in an otherwise awesome unit. |

yeah I can see setting this up to loop, but not be able to get to a delay setting as quickly as i would like, I have way too many delays, so i can set it for just one thing, but I don't really feel like looping with this unit. I loved my old DL-4 for looping, i really don't see why they didn't isolate the looper from the Dl-4 as a tonecore, I would go there in a second, but I don't wanna big box on my board for just sometimes looping.
anyway, just thinking out loud, thanks for the info on the flashback and the Matt Beck toneprint, I should mess with this more, bet there is a bunch of good toneprints for it.

A flaw no doubt.... particularly the fact the dry and wet signal are "both" controlled by the fx level knob..... Still..... the looper is a nice "bonus" feature.... |
