Weber vs Jensen

I'm looking at getting a Jensen P10r for my Pro Jr, what's the Weber equivalent to this speaker? How do they compare?

The clean sample on Jensen's website is essentially what I want

Webers equivalent would be a 10A100. I've only heard the vintage Jensen P10R, so can't compare.

I did not like the jensen in the pro jr. In fact i dont like those re issue jensens at all.
Ive tried their 10's, 12's, ceramic, alnico.
Dont like them.
After much experimenting i arrived at the mojo 10.

skip the re-issue Jensens...go with the Weber.
I had a Fender Alnico Blue in my PJ and was really happy with it (the amp died).
AN Eminence Legend 1058 is another excellent match and has more low end which works well with the PJs brighter EL84 sound.

+1 on the Emmy 1058. Pretty loud, tho.

Has anyone tried the Eminence Delta Demon? I've heard good things about the Raging Cajun, but the delta demon sounds a bit more my style.

I emailed Weber, they suggest the 10A125 and that also seems like it'd fit the bill quite nicely.

I guess having too many good options is a nice problem to have, it doesn't seem (besides the Jensens) that any of these wouldn't be great.

While yes, I swapped it out, but even the stock speaker sounds good once it's broken in. I used it and had no problem being heard nor was the tone ''bad''.

Actually, it's the 10A100T. The 100 series has a smooth cone by default, something Jensen moved away from in the mid-'50's. The T has a ribbed cone (from the 125 series). The difference is the 100 has early speaker breakup/distortion and a more lo-fi sound and the 100T has a smoother sound and breaks up later.

So, for early '50's P10R...it's 10A100 (smooth cone) and for later '50's and '60's, it's 10A100T.

I like the stock speaker, but it's not quite there for me.I have had my PJ a few years, so the speaker is broken in. Maybe if I had one of the earlier PJs with the blue alnico in it, but mine has the fender speaker.

Can't really go wrong with Weber. Their Sig Series is seriously under sung, great stuff!

I would go with the Weber 10A125, or, the Eminence Legend is a great suggestion for this amp, bigger low end, little smoother top, that might work very well. And, its cheap.

I think I'll end up with the Weber, it seems to have everything I was looking for
