I'm ineffably sorry. I'm relieved to hear that you and your wife are not alone in this. It's amazing the unexpected places you find love and comfort in times of tragedy.

Guitarfish

Commented on your other thread. Congrats on the refresher of the room.

How are you and your wife holding up? How is everything?

Having followed this thread it would be wonderful to hear updates should you feel comfortable sharing.

Stay well.

I saw this post and I may have even already posted in it, stress destroyed my memory. As the father of two sons, I cannot express in wods what I would like to say to you.

All I can offer is my sympathy and a somewhat understanding of your situation. All my thoughts prayer(I actually have considered spirituality again) and any positivity I can offer cannot address your situation. But do know that the pub is a great place to talk about things and despite a few a-holes, you can get a great amount of support and willingness from others to share. The pub helped me through depression problems with the drink and a bad marriage. Take care

So sorry for your loss.

I went through this with my 24 year old nephew back in April. He was an active musician in the area and my basement jam buddy. I always thought that we would grow old playing guitar together and teaching each other new songs.

The only consolation I have now is knowing that he is freed of his worries.

Yup, April, same here. It used to be my favorite month, it's when my wife and I have our anniv. It is now the saddest month. One of my first thoughts was "he's not suffering anymore." Now we are instead.

Thank you all for the condolences and kind words.

Guitarfish,

Thank you for the update. My prayers go out to you and your wife. I hope that sharing your pain and feelings with us will be a small part of moving forward. I can't begin to imagine the difficulties you face every day.

While there are a variety of people on TGP, there are so many amazing people here that are your brothers in music. This community is here for you in any way you need.

As I sit at my desk this morning at work tears are running down my face. There is no way for me to understand how you feel. One of my children passing away is my biggest fear in life. Not a day goes by that it doesn't scare me. I try very very hard to not "over" protect my children because of MY fear. I've been blessed with two amazing kids. I make sure to tell them "I love you" any chance I get.

May God bless you.
