Do you prefer tweakability and more options or a one-setting type reverb?
BSR - tweaking, more options
WET - more natural, lush reverb

But everyone's different. Just my opinions.

I've owned both multiple times. It comes down to what you need feature-wise. Totally just my opinion but:

-If you want a preset switch and/or shimmer, and will be using it mostly for "tamer" reverb sounds, go BSR.

-If you will be using it often for extremely long decays for ambient stuff, I've always thought the WET's subtle modulation at longer settings was more pleasing than the BSR's decay and would go with that.

At the end of the day it's hard to go wrong with either though, because they both really do sound phenomenal.

I want to be able to use it in a praise setting...sound more lush and full. Able to blend with my timmy and delay.

Had the BSR and never really bonded with it. Maybe I set it wrong but it always seemed a bit metallic and kind of disappeared in the band mix (Tele, SFDR, low volume acoustic folk/rock).

Got the Wet ...lush, natural, organic ...instant bond.

What ChampReverb said.
The WET is phenomenal. Easier than heck to dial in Awesome sounds. (had/sold BSR and HoF) And i don't even have the latest version!!

BUT... if you wanna tweak...

And personally, if you want shimmer, i did not like the BSR. Just did not do it that well, in MO.
I am gonna go hide in my in-law's air raid shelter now. (yes, they have one, ca. 1962)

Ahhhhhhh, there is no shimmer on the Wet.

I'd suggest both if you can Swing it... I go BSR Shimmer into Wet...

Unless you need the shimmer, i'd say get the Stereo Wet.

dave

wet --read--ambient
bsr--read--shimmer

nothing sounds like a WET...in a class of its own

I too have both ...haven't really bonded with BSR...can't get it dialed into many usuable settings...it is too complex...WET is simplest

Curveball...

TC Hall of Fame

Extra money in pocket and fantastic lush reverb sounds that sit in a mix extremely well.
YMMV
