Tough to pick only three ... these are personal favorites, not necessarily their "best" or most representative:
"One" -- I don't think they'll ever top this tune, especially lyrically. It got even better on the Zoo TV tour with Edge's solo at the end. "Until The End Of The World" -- Most of my favorite U2 songs are those that could either be hymns or breakup songs, depending on what the listener wants to hear. This is the champion of that genre. "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)" -- I lived in eastern Berlin around the turn of the millenium and this song brings back a lot of great, bittersweet memories. (I can't believe nothing from The Unforgettable Fire made my list!) And, just because it was so hard, here are three favorite B-sides/rarities: "Are You Gonna Wait Forever?" "Spanish Eyes" "The Sweetest Thing" (the original, not the recent version)
