I dig the character and the inlay - great piece of work!

Man, that's awesome! The pickguard is wood, right?

What's the fretboard made out of?

I'd love to hear a tone report for this guitar!

pickguard is wood, yep. Honestly the axe is a little darker overall than I had initially imagined but even classier too. I'm going to have to start wearing a lot of black on stage, hehe. All of the flamed wood you see (everything on the front of the guitar) is highly figured arctic birch and NOT maple (though the neck is maple). The back of the guitar is spanish cedar, which is like a crisper, more resonant mahogany. I've been playing this guitar's older cousin for 2 weeks now, an ebony board/ash body axe with the same pickup configuration- I would describe that guitar as the perfect blend of a Les Paul Custom and a p90 equipped ash tele. I guess we'll see what's up with this one in a short time from now! I've got a recording studio set up right now since I'm in the middle of tracking Arizona's next album, so I will be able to post a TON of clips, clean, dirty, mean, all in context.

Can we get a close up shot of the fretboard? It looks incredible - I've never seen anything like that figuring

Angel - are you sure those puppies are P90s? Look like 'buckers to me. If you think they're too warm (I might even know a couple of things about them, hehe) just try "equalizing" by lowering the bass side of the pups a notch.
Another popular trick would be
a) lower the whole pup
and
b ) raise the screw polepieces more (brings out some more singlecoil-like bite to them).

I met Juha at the Frankfurt Musikmesse - cool dude... actually - I should really get back in touch w/ him to see what can be done in Italy...hmmm....
