TubeMeister recording problem

I picked up an H&K TubeMeister 18 combo about a month ago, and I love the tone. But I have noticed that it makes a kind of noise it's not supposed to: as it heats up and stays warm, I can hear the occasional sound, like a slight creak in the wood or the tolex stretching.

It doesn't bother me when I'm just practicing, but I did try to record with the amp through its Red Box output into an Apogee Duet. As I record clean, I can hear pops in the signal, which I'm thinking is the amp creaking.

Now, maybe I'm wrong about where the popping is coming from but if I'm right... will this go away as the amp gets worn in?
