I've dug out some of my old Mehldau albums - this is a fantastic take on a song I love in it's original form as well

Great melody, great harmonies, great musicianship, great vocals. Grace's soaring vocals are exceptional around the 3:33 mark. The fact that it was recorded live makes it even better.

Some times you just can't say what needs to be heard in 5-6 minutes. This is outstanding.

One tune!

Can be as difficult or easy as you want it to be, Classical, Rock, Pop--whatever--but it should be about 5 or 6 minutes at most.

I'll go first:

You should hear this tune by Joe Henry, called Richard Pryor Addresses A Tearful Nation.
Wonderful poetry and musicianship, featuring an exquisite sax solo by Ornette Coleman. Marc Ribot, Brian Blade, Dave Piltch.
This is not a "new" or even "obscure" tune, and I'm sure it's been heard by many of the folks here and elsewhere. But, it's my pick for the tune everyone should hear today:

"Days Like This"---Van Morrison
