Guitar Center lessons, how much do they charge?

Since Guitar Center is now offering lessons on various instruments, I was wondering how much they charge for them. Also, do they use a standardized lesson curriculum? Or, is it basically independent contractors doing their own thing?

Also, has anyone here (who doesn't have any business or family relations to G.C.! LOL) taken lessones there? If so, what did you think of them? Can you share any insights about them?

Odds are pricing may vary from store to store and/or state to state. You might want to just call your local Guitar Center and ask them how much lessons are.

Wouldn't it kind of make sense to call them and ask them?

Ask other players and students in your area for recommendations for teachers. There are plenty of underpaid and underutilized musicians who can teach, reach out to some talented ones. The last place I'd look would be a chain store like GC, it has zero tradition as a place of learning.

+1. It's really hard to find anything positive about GC on internet guitar forums. I would think lessons would be no different.

Well, it stands to reason that if their "Techs" are incompetent, their "Instructors" can't be much better.

I hear you. That's why I +1ed the post I did. A call would solve the mystery. As far as the tech side, I wouldn't know that either.

I promise you I don't know it from personal experience. I never hated any of my guitars that much.

Well, they don't offer lessons in this area yet. Not sure if they will or not, either. So, calling the local store to inquire about pricing won't help at this point. Thanks, though.
Just heard about them doing it in some areas, and thought some here might have some first hand experience to share.
