"Ted" the movie: Is it okay for a 10 year old boy?

Is "Ted" too dirty for a 10 year old boy, going on 16?

Ten year old boys are already pretty "savvy" on a lot of this stuff... And, Seth McFarlane is pretty much a 10-year-old boy, at his core... (OK, maybe 11...)

Just sayin'...

Hey if hookers, booze and vulgar language are appropriate for a ten year old, then go for it.

The rating is 14A, that should tell you what you want to know.

I would not take my 10 year old to see it. It is very much geared toward an adult audience.

I wouldn't take my 11 year old boy - no way is it appropriate for kids that age IMHO.

There is graphic discussion of the bear using vegetables to 'service' women.

I wouldn't take a 10 year old to see it. 14-15 and I'd have no problem, but 10 feels a little too young to me. I'm pretty liberal on things like that, but 10 is just a little out of my comfort zone for Ted.

R rated, right? Probably not ideal for a ten year old.
