I'm on a Mac , getting a bit annoyed by all the tracking cookie crap . Whats the best one ?

Dunno bout Mac, but on mine there is a drop down menu for "Safety." You can click on "InPrivate" for anonymous surfing.

This only deletes it on your computer, but is stored forever with those that want this info for various uses, mainly advertising.

korby - Don't delete tracking cookies - block 'em!

I swear by these two free tools (they share some of the same functionality). I am in no way affiliated with either product, but they work well and I haven't noticed any slow-downs or conflicts with Web content/delivery:

Ghostery

and

Do Not Track Plus

Edit: I just realized that you were looking for a new search engine, so this doesn't help in that regard. It's a viable solution, though.

Duckduckgo says it doesn't track. I've used it and it seems fine so far; but then I don't really have the tech knowledge to know if I'm being tracked. Anyone have any experience?

I have Do Not Track Plus installed, and when I go to DuckDuckGo nothing pops up on it... if that's any help.
