Well then maybe the replacement for the RP255 will have at least one LCD screen, USB audio/midi, routable effects, etc. Since a G3x is about $199, that would be closer to an accurate competitor. We'll see!

The G3 is ~$70 more than the ElementXP and ~$100 more than the Element.

No offense, but it has a lot more models, pedals and options. It should cost more.

I understand you're designing a product with a price point in mind before all else, but it's not like these are impulse buy items in the checkout line at Kroger. You'll still have to go to a music store, and the G3 will be right next to it.

If I'm an entry-level person who hasn't read the manual, which product will I be able to figure out first? The one with a display that tells me what I am activating and de-activating by stomping on it or one that reads "99"?

But the MS-50G is the same price as the element. And all you seem to lose there hardware wise is one button and the aux in. And you gain more routable effects, LCD, etc.

it looks interesting.
i'm curious about it for sure.

but i guess in the end, i sort of wonder if it's as user friendly as my zoom g3.

the g3 isn't perfect, but it suits my needs and is really EASY to use. i have not opened the manual AT ALL in order to figure it out.

to me, the main KNOB botton they have by the display, wouldn't it be nice to have more of that? or is it a computer editor thing....
i like the look of the pedal, square boxy thing...i just wonder if it's sort of a "lets make an attempt at the zoom g3" but really fall short....

did i see a list of the effects? one thing i like about the g3-man they put some whacky effects in there. do i use them all the time? no, but they are nice to have.....

And not trying to be argumentative or bash your new product. I think we're all just kinda bummed that we have been wanting Digitech to come out guns blazing for a long time now and these products are kind of underwhelming for seasoned players. Would have rather seen you release your flagship to wow us and slip these little guys in under the radar while we all drool over the good stuff. But so it goes.

This is to be expected on TGP, the guys that buy the Element and ElementXP don't hang out here.

We no longer believe in the "flagship then trickle-down" cycle. We are treating each market segement as its own animal with its own needs.

It's not even a "seasoned player" thing. If this was my first pedal ever, that display tells me nothing. Yes, I see that they have "category icons" underneath so you at least know if you're adjusting an amp model or an OD or whatever.

But it's not particularly helpful beyond that. Oh well...this cake is baked. They can fight it out with Vox StompLab for $70 bargain stuff that will likely have no impact whatsoever.

We are giving you constructive feedback besides "Oh, it's not Axe-FX at 1/10th the price...FAIL".

Don't write it off so quickly.

It's very easy find the G3 in mint condition on eBay for $125 or lower.

Not writing it off. I think you will be happier with the product line in few weeks.

Unless you're going to revitalize all the products you guys introduced two years ago, and promptly abandoned, don't hold your breath.......

Hopefully the new flagship contains updated amp sims because the ones in the current rp line are pretty pale in comparison to the pod hd or even the G3 sims.
