Box Of Rock

Any one else excited about this one ?

Its not out yet, but I have a prediction.
This pedal is going to be HUGE !!
I just have a feeling a year from now
it will be one of the bench mark
overdrives.

I always wondered what would happen
if Zvex turned away from the wacky for
a while, and made a standard type
distortion pedal. Its going to be a Vexter
series pedal, meaning not hand painted,
and less expensive.

gimmie gimmie gimmie

On the zvex site board people have been talking about it since the last NAMM, I think it was only a prototype but i heard it on a video from NAMM and it sounds great. I will try and find the link again. But its based on a NMV marshall which is cranked.

I think simply because Vex makes such damned great pedals.
His reputation would be enough for me to give it a chance.

Anyone know what the knobs are? I can only read a couple of them.

You nailed it, I'm that good, I can look at
a pedal and tell what it sounds like.....

All right you killjoys........a year from now,
After this pedal is really really big, I expect
a "pepperco was right after all" apology.

What is it with all of the attitudes around here ?
I was just trying to have a little fun, share some genuine
excitement. Make a fun prediction. I base the prediction
on my previous experience with zvex products, zach's
great ears and proven inventiveness. I have full faith
this pedal will be special,

That is some cool effects but in sound the Nano sounded better to me then the box of rock, smoother cleaner with more attack.

Hey, I was with you from the gitgo. I've read about Vex for so long, just recently finally purchased an SHO (My FAVORITE for gigging already), Seek Trem, and Fuzz Factory, and they all make me smile when I play with them. They all have something special, and I too, based only on my experience, would bet that a more "normal" pedal by Vex is going to be great! Hope though that he includes a 9v power in jack.

Looking closer it looks like "boost, vol, tone, drive" and I'm guessing the one FS activates boost, the other "regular" OD.

From left to right: boost, volume, tone, drive. Both the boost and drive say "crackle OK"

The box of rock's tears cure cancer. Too bad it never cries.

When the boogeyman goes to sleep at night he checks his closet for the box of rock.

The box of rock can slam a revolving door.
