Vibe volume, why is it so low?

Why is it that all of the vibe pedals I have played have such low volume? I've had a dejavibe, provibe, and a megavibe. It seems that all of these play very softly and the level is always dimed. I'm often finding myself wanting to turn the volume knob up a little more. Is there something wrong with my setup or is that just the nature of a vibe pedal? I want a vibe pedal that has a level knob that goes to "15".

Try a Voodoo Vibe - extra volume and cut.

OR a retroman vibe. No cut on mine. It has stereo volume controls as well as a "center" type knob that controls the center of the vibe.

I have a Black Cat vibe, & the volume increases just a bit when engaged. Check to see if the unit has an internal trimmer adjustment.

Okay, I am going to check on that internal trim thing to see if there is one in there.

Does anyone know if the KR Megavibe has an internal trimmer adjustment ?? I've experienced the same volume drop.

It seems that max level tends to be at unity for most of the vibes I have used.

My Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe Jr doesn't have a volume control but I get a slight boost.

My Mojo was dimed to match levels.

I think rig interaction has an effect too.

the dejavibe, microvibe and dunlop vibe I onwed all suffered from this, and I found this VERY annoying indeed. My UltraVibe has enough volume, it's even capable of producing a slight boost, if wanted. Mojovibe seems to be the exact same as the no longer made ultravibe, maybe you should try that one?

Yep, my Mojo Vibe is plenty loud enough to run at unity or even a little boost in volume. It has an independent volume knob. I had the Voodoo Labs Micro Vibe for a while and it always had a volume drop when engaged also. It drove me nuts, so I bought the Mojo and I've been happy ever since.
