Hectic Watermelon CD preview

Hey guys (and gals?),

Before we finally send the new Hectic Watermelon CD, The Great American Road Trip, to Diskmakers, I'll have some previews up on the HWM site player. The first one fer ya is the tune from which we had a solo bed on TGP, "Bionic Hillbilly." The album features our own, Scott Lerner, tearing it up on the first solo and Jerry Goodman on electric violin. Thanks Scott! Also, our multi-talented, Red Ant, was very helpful providing me with crucial mixing and mastering consultation and labor. Thanks Anton!

The second half hillbilly section really sounded incredible with Jerry in there! Jaw dropping good stuff.

Ahhh! Summer is the perfect time for Watermelon! I'm sure you'll post when the disc is available and we can go back for seconds, and thirds, and....

Really impressed, congrats!

Scottl,

Fab work sir! We'll have to do this again for sure. it really is fun to hear it all put together huh? For the record, I didn't EQ, or compress your track at all. All I did was add a little sprinkle of Eventide Eclipse tempo-locked analog delay panned in the other direction. It glues into the mix very nicely.

TGP dudes,

As far as CD availability goes, I hope to have it back by September. We'll have it on CD baby, iTunes and Abstract Logix for starters by mid Sept. I will do pre-orders when I can figure out a professional and organized way to do them. Also, there will be a good TGP discount on the pre-orders for my homies here (and a cool HWM predator fish T-shirt if they are done in time). Anyone who wants one can just e-mail me at j o h n @ h e c t i c w a t e r m e l e o n d o t c o m for the time being. Thanks very much for the support everybody. It is very appreciated!
