OD100....Which one is Nick Sterling using??

I was checking out his Myspace page and there are a few live videos. The ones where he's using the OD100 sound the best. "Awesome Tone"!! Man, he's getting better and better...monster player.

Anyway, which model OD100 is he using?

Thanks,
Bryan

Howdy stranger!

Last time I saw Nick ('bout three months ago), he was using both the SLO and the CAA, but more for a song by song approach instead of a strict lead/rhythm thang. You should hear his Les Paul Custom through the SLO...smoked the CAA all over the place, but then you know me!

He changes gear all the time, so that info is probably obselete by now!

Hey Guys,
I just stumbled across this thread. I haven't been here in quite a while. Hello to all!
I've been using the OD-100 for almost a year now. Mine is the standard model , 5881s with the feedback and presence knobs on the back. I absolutely love the amp. It does everything, awesome clean, Marshall crunch, and singing solos. With the boost engaged It can pull of extremely heavy chunking rhythm too. I was using the SLO along side the OD100 for a little while for some of my more "modern" heavy songs but I found that I can pull it off just as well with the OD by cutting the mids a bit and using the boost. Sounds Great! By the way, my Basketweave is loaded with V30s not Greenbacks.

Thanks Nick!! Which amp were you using during the "live video" of HOLD ME DOWN (on your myspace page)?? Best tone and playing I've heard and seen in a long time....!

Sure is interesting how so much "misinformation" there is about guys rigs. SteveVHT swore it was an SE + Greenbacks..... Those live pics clearly showed a standard (red lights...).

Thanks,
Bryan

Met Nick a few years ago at a show at Tone Merchants.
You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer person. An inspiration to a whole new generation. :AOK

Way to go, Chuck! Maybe you meant the SLO was so crappy that it started smoking "trying" to keep up with the OD100!?!?

Hi Bryan,
That was the SLO that night! I love that amp! Especially in the studio. Its my go to amp for tracking solo's. I'm a pedal guy so it doesn't really work that great for me live because the loop is looking for +4 db (rack gear). I'm running a Echoczar and Memory Lane for delays. These pedals work great with the OD100's loop. Actually I just add, per Johns suggestion, a Boss FV-500L (low impedance) volume pedal, in the end of the loop, just to give a few db's boost for solo's and its working out Great!

Nick, I believe not too long ago you were picked up a Wizard Vintage Classic.
Still have it, or has it been replaced by something else?
