Does anyone fit a 4x12 into their car trunk?
I have a Nissan Maxima, and I was wondering if anyone fits a 4x12 into their trunk without laying seats down. It looks like it may fit one, but then again...maybe not.

I have fit a Budda 4x12 in the trunk of many sedans including a 1994 Honda Accord and a 2006 Subaru Legacy. The seats never needed to be adjusted. If you arent sure, measure first before you start lugging the sucker out to the driveway.

And When You Measure....
Make sure you measure the depth of the trunk at the lowest slope point of its trunk lid....
Many of today's trunks have a sloping lid from the back of the window to the tailights and the distance form the lid to the bottom of the trunk varies along the lines of the lid.... I've been squeezing 212's, Explorer cases, pedalboards, heads, Redheads, Blondes, and girlfriends in Toyotas and such for decades.... Well, the girlfriends stopped one and half decades ago, and the Redheads were made by Marshall in the 70's and the Blondes were by Fender in the 60's.... Now the "War Dept" (the only Blonde I'm allowed to transport)won't sit behind my driver's seat to allow the combo to travel up front... Good luck and 412's do matter! Cotton

Used to fit one in the back seat many moons ago, then realized a 4x12 is total overkill and sold it. You have to be careful as you scoot it in so you don't scuff or tear. Or you could always sell your maxima and get a blazer or something.

I saw a REALLY beat up...I mean completely ragged out Marshall 4x12 about a month ago in the Atlanta GC. It was $200 or something, and I thought about going back to get it just to have one but didn't think I would be able to get it in my car. Thought I'd ask. The next car will be big enough to fit one even though I might only use it once in a while.

![]() Room for a 4x12 cab in the trunk without putting seats down. Leaving room for the head and guitar(s) in the back seat. Room to spare!

I can fit a straight or slant front Marshall 4x12 (w/wheels attached) into the trunk of our 2004 4 door Honda Civic.
I use to own a '57 Chevy and could fit a Marshall 4x12 and a 100 watt head in the trunk! I was able to fit a slant 4x12 without wheels into the trunk of an '89 Honda Accord. I tried it the next generation of Accord (maybe '92?) and the cab would not fit as they redid the body style. |
