Using SWR California Blonde for Bass

I am teaching myself bass and wanted to get a practice amp . I also would like a new acoustic amp and decided on a California Blonde . The salesman suggested I use the Blonde as a practice amp for the bass since they are virtually the same . It sounded too good to be true so I told him I'd get back to him . Any thoughts ?

A few folks around here do that. Shouldn't be a problem.

There should be no problem with that. I used to use my SWR strawberry blonde for bass when I was to lazy to lug my Eden rig around. Acoustic amps and Bass amps are VERY similar in design.

I play bass through my CA Blonde (and matching, now discontinued, Natural Blonde ext. cab) all the time:



The CA Blonde is essentially a bass amp with a bass speaker, it just has a fancier, differently voiced preamp. Use it for bass with confidence.

Thanks for the responses guys ! The Calif. Blonde is the way to go . I just had to hear it from someone else .
