Re-Housed MXR Phase 90

A fresh look for an old friend... plus a power tap and LED:

Did you use the same enclosure and just paint it? Or did you totally rehouse it? It looks great whatever you did.

Thanks!!

Total rehouse... those old "script" Phase 90 enclosures have got to be made of steel because they are extremely heavy.

Powder coated metallic silver, which, because of my poor photography, doesn't show up as nicely as it looks in person.

Cool man. Do those come with true bypass or buffered? If buffered, did you leave it that way?

Note, this was the original script Phase 90... not any of the reissue stuff.

This pedal had a newer Fulltone 3PDT footswitch already wired for true bypass, so I just added the ground wires to the remaining poles. If it wasn't, I was going to wire it up true bypass with a new switch any ways.

Not sure about the buffer... didn't mess with that at all.

Looks nice; I dig the 'clean' look of the silver.

Thanks! This is actually someone elses pedal that I was commissioned to do the rehouse and other stuff to.

I personally would have gotten orange to stay with the same color scheme.

I recovered my vintage 90 in leather...

I'm not too thrilled with the finished product, I plan to rehouse it again when I find time. There must be a trick to finishing the corners off right, it's hard to do in leather. Anyway, yours looks nice!

Cool stuff,
I have an Analogman fuzz that I wanted to use a power supply with and didn’t want to drill a hole for the wire in the original box, so I ordered another 125b enclosure and finished it with a swirly top and put the guts in it.

I still need to find another black knob for the dial.

Nice job guys! I no longer do my own paint jobs... I source out the powder coating to save time. For my own personal pedals, I have some ideas on how I want to do the swirl type paint job.

I could think of a funny place to put a little patch of velcro.
