Goodall Guitars

Hi,
Do dealers only discount 10% for the Goodall guitars? I mean I noticed COllings are very strict with the discount, but Goodall doesn't seem as strict.
So can someone with Goodall guitar experience shared their Purchase experiece. PM me if this discussion is not allowed.
Thanks, David

I've never had much play in price when shopping for a Goodall. I know it is possible though. All you can do is ask and hope the dealer wants to move stock. I had a chance to purchase a $5k TRD that had madagascar rw back and side for cost ($3995) once. I shouldn't have passed it up. Dumb! If your going to buy a Goodall I suggest buying used. Their resale is poor. Most of the time you can get used ones for 40-45% off of the new price. I see used as the way to go with a Goodall considering a Goodall warranty is only good for 5 years.

If your looking for a D theres a TRD on GBASE for $2995. Good price and I bet you could even get it down to $2795. Also check Dreamguitars.com, they have some good stuff. Their Concert Jumbo cutaway w/mahogany back and sides looks real nice and from what I hear its mint (I almost pulled the trigger).

Yes! I don't have the exact numbers, but its around $1400 cheaper than it would be new. Plus its as close to mint as you can get. I called and asked. Don't forget the cutaway is an upcharge. Also, what James does with Mahogany is out of this world. When I had a Mahogany Goodall I swore I was playing rosewood with the sonic capabilities of Mahogany.

I have recently acguired a really spectacular and amazing Goodall from a very cool and great Gear Pager "Garey" from Kauai,Hawaii.
Thanks again... Garey you are truly a gentleman and No ka oi...
It's a Goodall RCJ Rosewood Concert Jumbo with the famous and mystical Big Goose Spruce Top with K&K Pure Western pick-ups installed.
All I can say is WOW!!! Such a huge and balanced tone and it sounds so majestical and so ever inspiring.
I've been playing it daily ever since I recieved this awesome instrument.
This Goodall RCJ Big Goose Spruce guitar is truly a very special and one of the most incredible instruments that I ever have owned and played.

The FretHouse in West Covina,CA. have great selections of Goodalls.
Check out their prices.

The Podium still takes the cake. In fact, they have the best price on used Goodalls. Most that come through there are insanely cheap. They go quick. I should also add that the Podium's service is top notch.

I have a custom-ordered Goodall that I got for 15% off. When I inquired about ordering a second I was told that 10% off was the most that they could do. I'm not sure if that is Goodall's policy or the dealer's. With the price increases over the past two years and the change in the discount, it made me rethink getting a second Goodall.

I just bought a new Traditional Dreadnought (EIR back and sides and Adi top) from Acoustic Roots in Philly for $4600. Perusing the web this seems to be the standard going price for a new Goodall TRD.

I just visited Buffalo Bros.Guitar shop yesterday.
Tried out a few Goodalls:
Goodall Brazillian with Big Goose Spruce Top (Wow!)
Goodall African Blackwood (Nice)
They had a bunch of used Goodalls in excellent condition.
Highly recommended!
