Good luck with it.
The Breedlove Focus I traded in is a great guitar. Setup is superb! I have a Martin D40-QM that is pretty rare I couldnt pass up so that made the Breedlove expendable.

And I am glad you didnt buy the Vox! But if you seriously want one I think I know where you can get one in mint shape for $1550 shipped to you. Email me.

Which Bruno does it sound like to you?? The UG 30 can get into AC 30 territory a bit, but thats about it as far as any Bruno I know.

Does the Brian May model use the *good* transformers Vox put in the AC30HW, or the stock ones used in the CC series?

Tag,

Without the boost (either hi or lo) on, the cleans reminded me of the UG30 quite a bit in the mids and highs. Very fat & thick, but oh so sharp & clear. It was a bit bigger and tighter in the lows than the UG30, however.

I just sold mine and it was cool. The last few chords I played on it with a 335 as the guy was about to take it with him sounded so killer.Sometimes the treble booster had mexican radio interference.I did prefer my Eternity pedal over the built in treble boost as Ive never really dug traditional treble boost as they can be too shrill.Plenty of chime. Most guitars sounded good but not all with the limited eq.It felt better than the AC30HW I owned but I think I prefered the JMI I also sold.

How does it compare to the JMJ ? My JMJ rocks. I'm trying to dial in that Larry Crane Vox tone on "'Our Country" by Mellencamp. That may be a /13 but it's a tone I am looking for and getting close to.

Wish I could demo the BM.

I used to own a early to mid 90's AC-30 with the greenback speakers.. Those were 25 watt speakers right? What's the difference in sound between those speakers and the blues ones in this amp? Mine is going to be here on Wednesday.

Good to post these, but be advised they dont capture the presence & dynamics of the amp very well....I think the recording method "put a blanket" over the tone & dynamics. The clips give some idea of the versatility of the amp, no doubt, but they don't reflect the quality of the tone very well.

I will try to make some clips soon, but man it is a damn busy time of year!

When you get it put it in 15w mode, volume at noon, treble booster on high.

Stand back.

Play.

Change your drawers.
