Vox AC30CC 1x12 arrived

Hey it really does sound great, I dunno what else to say. Reminds me of a Vox.

Very wide range of tones and degrees of "chimeyness" with the channel blending and the "brilliance" switch, not that it would have needed that to be a great amp.

Heavy as sh*t for a 1x12.

I wish it was more roadworthy... the plastic corner guards and other cheesy plastic hardware does not inspire confidence. That's my only complaint.

I'm not that much caring for the 60s criss-cross stretched panty hose look and the plastic emblem is gay quite frankly but close your eyes and listen to the tone!!!!

Has anyone else had trouble with the reverb? I have now received two CC1s in a row with reverb that doesn't seem to work. Otherwise seems to be a nice sounding amp.

Reverb on the CC is not the greatest. Many have swapped out the reverb pan with an Accutronics.

No, I mean as in not work at all. The reverb on my AC15TBXs and AC30HW works just fine.

Reverb has worked worked fine on all of 'em that I've played (about 5 at this point, including my own).

Congrats on another good score MK. Yeah, they're not built to take a beating. The screws, corners, vinyl, grillcloth and so on are on the junky side (not the Vox was ever known for being terribly road-worthy, but these are a step below, IMO). The stock tubes are no great shakes either and are accountable for the vast majority of the problems I've heard of. But the circuitry and chassis work seems to be okay. Put some decent tubes in there and find some better screws to hold the chassis in (I'm going to start looking for those now) and it'll sound better and be a little less irritating to deal with.

The sound is absolutely outstanding and pretty consistent too, when you compare CCs with decent tubes. Among the better sounding AC30s out there, IMO.

the reverb on the 1st run had some problems - they are using new tanks now but some of those 1st run verbs are still out there. Contact Mitch Colby at Vox USA - they will send you a replacement tank on their dime

Well, I have already returned one. Maybe I will return the second and try again, assuming there will be another shipment.
