i can't even remember where i played these but i do remember being impressed i think it was in the 70's at a guy named David Santos' shop |

For that price range, check out this guy too.
http://www.barukeguitars.com His name is Allen, and he is a really great guy. I don't know if many people play his instruments, but after hearing a guy Allen Levi with one, I was convinced the guy can make a guitar. If you want a "custom" handmade instrument, you might want to check it out.
