Please recommend me a high gain amp

Hi, Im looking for a high gain head, in the style of soldano, bogner xtc, cornford mk 50, between $ 1500-1800 bucks, I don`t mind if it has reverb, I need two channels. I like soldanos and Bogner but they are too expensive for my needs, so I want to buy a good head for less money.

Best..
Fer

Why not go ahead with the real deal..get a Soldano Decatone. It will actually give you an extra channel and can be had for way under your $1800 budget. You'll get a Fender Clean, Marshall Crunch, and a Soldano overdrive all in one amp

If you didn't need the two channels I would say VHT Deliverance.

Soldano Avenger....approx. 1K used (dirt)
Fender Bassman head ....approx 500 used (clean)
Avatar 2x12....approx. 250 used
Tonebone Headswitcher 200 used

A little higher than your budget, but I've seen the prices significantly lower across the spectrum if you're patient and savvy.

I`d go for an Orange Rockerberb, i had the 50 watter and it was a great sounding amp, it has a very distinct voice tho so it`d be best to try one out. Excellent master volume on that amp too.

You should be able to pick up a nice VHT in that price range also.

Good luck :BEER

There are 2 Decatone's on eBay currently, for under $2000. One is a Decatone with a 4x12 cab...bidding starts at $1800. I have seen those go at a good price, and am thinking of one myself in the future.

You could probably find a used Uberschall for that much if you looked around, it's a really cool amp but not for everyone.

yes, I`ll travel to Florida, Usa to play in Jemfest on July of 2007, I`m from Argentina, it`s very difficult to me to find these kind of amps here, but when I go to Usa I spend a lot of time in guitar shops, maybe next year I can find a good used one, Does somebody know a store where I can buy one near Orlando Florida, or Miami?

Thanks everybody
