Send a pm to "dabluzeguy" (Rich Rice) or "Chris Rice" and I am sure they will reply shortly.

The wood looks very nicely toned, I love how the grain seems very enriched to my eye

Rich is a wood finisher (rather than a car painter) with many years of furniture restoration in his past. He is a magician and can pull things out of wood that astound me.

The real kicker is the way it sounds. The splitter switch is 3-position (both humbuckers/neck humbucker and bridge single coil/both single coils) that gives you a Gibson vibe, Telcaster Custom vibe, and Tele vibe all out of one. I had the pickups specially wound for this guitar, voiced to give what I want; warmth, clarity, articulation, and power. It speaks like a good acoustic and screams like a great electric.

Take a look at the gallery on our website. Any color you want. My specialty is transparent colours, but certainly not my limitation.

Look at it this way... You get a premium hand applied trans finish for no upcharge. I just hate to cover the natural character of the wood. Here's a pic of a blue thinline I'm just finishing for a client in Norway:

I would never describe any rice guitar as a "show-horse" They're made to be played, no thin laminates (ala Ed Roman) to make it look espensive, if maple is the tone wood of choice, it's on there for a reason....

Yes.

And what is more "plain jane" than brown? Certainly not this:
