Oh boy.......another Ebay dreamer
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Gibson-Fire...em280071917448
I like this quote: Gibson gave me the option of having a special certificate drawn up stating it is a "one of a kind" and the President of Gibson personally signed it!!! Its amazing what a Piece of paper does for tone huh?

Good one!
I'm going to print out a cerificate for my partscaster and personally sign it, stating it's one-of-a-kind. $10k should be no problem. :NUTS I know it'll sound better with the piece of paper.:RoCkIn

sure maybe it is the only one out of the 200 celebrity firebirds that has a rosewood fingerboard like he says. Problem is that no one cares.

So, apparently a 1990 Firebird is worth nearly as much as an original early sixties model(?) Tough choice, but I don't think you get the paper with the original.

I know this is an extreme example but this is kinda whats wrong with the whole " only a Gibson is good enough" mentality. Even the F**ked up shit can be renamed and made special. Hell if that guitar was made later on in the Mid 90's and Tom Murphy could have signed it and it probably actually WOULD be worth $10,000! To somebody anyway.........:NUTS

What about when I worked at the music store and we special ordered a black (or ebony, whatever you to call it) firebird with a rosewood fingerboard? Does that mean that one is a fake? Or does it mean that it too is worth $10,000?
Granted that one didn't have a signed paper from the President of Gibson, but I would think not having it would make the guitar worth more wouldn't it?:AOK

To my eyes, black/ebony is not a Firebird color anyway
Burst, CAR, Pelham Blue, or white, yes.
