New guitar

Yup, I'm ordering my first Carvin guitar today. I've played Carvin amps and own an MTS, but this is my first Carvin guitar. Here's the specs:

Carvin DC145
Floyd Rose tremolo
Gold hardware
Rounded body
Locking nut
Tung oiled back of neck
Cream pickups
Abalone dot inlays
Birdseye maple fingerboard
Stainless steel frets
Flamed Maple Headstock
Umber stain w/ gradual fade to cherry burst
Flamed maple top

The 2 month wait is going to be painful.

It will be worth the wait. Carvin's are built and set up great. I've owned a few, they are incredible players.

I have a Carvin Contour 66. One of the nicest guitars I've ever owned. Since I got it in September, I've sold off my PRSi, and my Les Paul and Clapton Strat have mostly seen the inside of their cases.

I wouldn't believe it myself, but it's such a great guitar.

If only the necks were just a little deeper..... . I just emailed them last night and said I'm ready to order another one, if I can get a mahogany neck instead of maple on the C66.

Sounds great. I've been tempted with their catalogs too. Perhaps one day.
