Nice score & cool to see it coming to G-town, Murlin . I used to work there (off of Father Hurley Blvd.) not too terribly long ago so I'm familiar with the area. Congrats! Oh, and don't forget to update when ya get it.

Congrats! I just got a really sweet strat from them Rice boys this last week. Great guys to deal with. Outstanding customer service, and they build darn nice guitars.

Will do! I spoke for quite some time with Rich on the phone today, he even played it for me over the phone which was fun. I really admired the workman look of this one. I've never bought a "distressed" guitar before, but can just see this one sitting on a stand in my living room without worrying about it. I loved the black beat up look. I asked Rich to describe it tonewise, and he said "If a les paul is a tank, and a fender blackguard a dirtbike, this one is a truck".

Congrats.

As a Rice Custom owner I can pretty much warn you though that once you get your sweaty little hands on a Rice it is darn hard to put them down. They also tend to spoil ya.

My new Rice tele

Here is my new Rice tele (under construction), the first guitar I have ever had built to my own specs. How cool is that? I wouldn't change a thing (and that's the truth, Chris!)

Yowza! That is one of the best red teles I've ever seen. What a great color!

I have a custom order tele on the way, too - they just sent me pics of the neck: flame maple with slab brazilian board.

Seeing all these great Rice guitars gets me pumped up!
