Boss DD2 Digital Delay & guitar volume swell demo video

Check this out.... I do this effect a lot... It's fun to play some groove with the delay pedal.

Great clip Tomo. Love your use of delay on the new CD as well -- especially "Catty Woman".

the dd2's sound alot better than the dd3's- Its kinda freaky lol.
Im lookin into the dsd-2. Thats a wicked sound man.

If you dont mind me asking how did you get that "organ sound" is it using the dd-2?

Thank you so much! Glad to hear that you liked my new cd. Great!

Yes, Catty Woman's intro ... I came up with this delay technique. It's fun.

Actually, the earlier MIJ DD-3's are identical to the DD-2.

I think it's DD2. (I covered with black tape). I also have two DD3. so I will check it. Thank you so much.

This video clip, I set delay all the way, feedback around maybe 10 oclock?
Time is around 2 ish.. all depend on tempo I am in. I also like delay setting with no repeat (feedback) so I can harmonize and groove.

Do you dedicate one dd2 to this effect, or do you set it manually during a gig. It is a sweet sound, I like my dd2. I use it for more long delays, and just leave my analog delay on most of the time for thickening. I am learning though it's good to kick the analog one off if I want to cut in the mix better.

Nice playing!

Can you tell me the delay time for the swell section? How many repeats?

Many thanks.

Well, I use only one DD-2 or DD-3 on my effect borad so I use it as two function.

1) Volume swell effect with long delay/ long repeat.

or

2) Percussive groove with delay (around middle long setting) and
no repeat. I just posted it too.

I don't care that much analog or not on stage.

Thanks,

Tomo
