Another Fender Custom Shop Thread

Played a couple custom shop strats recently and loved them! Which is the most reasonable as far as price? I'm thinking a closet classic. I remember reading here somewhere that one of the stores that you guys use orders them with jumbo frets and 9.5 radius. Those are the specs that I would want. I realize that I can custom order one like that, but the price would go way up. How do these guitars compare to K-LIne or Nash? Thanks for all input.

These dealers have what you want. They are all tip -top.
I have no experience with the builders you mention but many here praise their work. The NOS is the most reasonable but you may not be able to find one with your special specs. The "limited edition" are $$$$$$.
Happy hunting!!!!!!!!!

Are there any other sites that have a large inventory of Fender Custom Shop guitars? I am looking into a custom classic. Thanks.

I would get the Custom Classic if you want the 9.5" radius. Great guitar. Can be had for about $1350 at the right dealer, I believe. Check Indoor Storm.

I think changing the radius on any of the Time Machine guitars costs about $500 extra, which puts the total guitar cost well above $2000. Not worth it to me. Maybe for some.

Look no farther than DavesGuitar.com

I purchased the 4 below from them, all with 9 1/2 radius
and medium jumbos. The price was actually less than most
local dealers would charge you for a regular relic

some eye candy below....highly recommend them

The tele I got is actually a 52
It has a "Big Ass" neck on it
more like a nocaster, but suprisingly playable

the modern spec rules

Do you guys know any other dealers or where I could find a dealer list? I am trying to track down a Daphne blue Custom Classic Strat with Maple Board and C Neck. The closest I've come is a daphne blue rosewood with v which does look killer, but if I had to choose I'd probably go with maple and a c neck.

The Music Gallery definately seems like the best place. I called them up yesterday and they have the cheapest prices I have seen too. Man, I don't know if I wanna have them order me a guitar though. I'd have to wait 3 months to get it! I've done that before with ernie ball and it makes me pretty anxious.

Does anyone know where I can get a CS '67 Telecaster with a rosewood board in either black or white? I don't see any of those around.

I found several limited edition '67 models and a few maple board and one gold rosewood, but that is about it. I did find one black one, but it has a really light rosewood board on it which sort of turns me off. Thanks

Hah, that's the same spec I'm looking for. You're probably going to have to order it.

^ I know man, that's what it's looking like, unless I can track down a used one in mint condition.

Mmmmmm.. Custom Classic..

Im currently tossing up about a CC with V neck [rather the C though] in maple, ash body with transparent honey blonde finish, looks KILLER, sounds HUGE but feels a little hard to play, even setup how I like it, compared to most other guitars.
