NEW ORLEANS GUITAR just arrived

The big brown truck just left, and I have my first New Orleans Voodoo. Brand new.
First impressions: WOW
Action is lower than anything I have had.
Workmanship is great.
This is a nitro, pre katrina, the finish has sunk into the grain nicely.
Thats all for now. Need to play awhile.....

Congrats! I never played a new orleans guitar before, but I always wondered about these beautiful looking guitars. Tone report please!

I swear this has reverb built into it somewhere, it sustains forever, and has such a smooth sound if you want it too, sharper attack and it gets a Lespaulish bite to it, very dynamic, complex sound, alot of overtones.
I have never had a neck thru before, but must say I am likin it.

1 11/16, pretty flat board 12" radius?, small frets, maybe the only thing I would change is to go up one size although I am liking these as they grow on me, profile is really confortable to me, shape seems to be a "D" but flatter in the middle crown area, top shoulder sits in your hand real nice. No heel at all to deal with in higher register.
Something I really like is the neck is situated to present itself nicely to your hand, it must have something to do with the body cuts or .............my gut, not sure. Superb all the way around, I have not let it go since yesterday.

I'm not aware of Vince making one with a cypress body, it's probably black limba. The limba/cypress combo is one he does very frequently, and is the most aggressive sounding wood combination.
WhiteStrat's is a 3A maple top on a figured mahogany body with an ebony board........a nice contrast......the warmth of the mahogany/maple with the snappier response of the ebony.......it is a smokin' guitar! I've played it many times, and it spent a week at home with me. I would have kept it but I wanted a cocobola board, so I had Vince build me another one.
Congrats Whitestrat....you'll never part with that guitar, I'll guarantee it!
