Classic old Boogie....
Picked up Boogie #355 this last weekend. 60 watt, EQ, Koa Cab. Appears to be some old Eminence speaker, which was not standard in these but might have been requested.
Definately has that sweet, sustaining lead voice. Very cool. |

Cool score.....I love old Boogies. I still think the Hardwood/Wicker grill is one of the coolest looking amps of all time. Not to shabby in the tone dept. either!

That's sweet. You should check under the chassis to see if there is a 1/4 plug - if so, it's likely used to control the pull boost. The jump in gain makes this feature a bit less useful, but ya' never know.
Congrats. |

Nope, no plug holes for either boost or eq. I'm not particularly fond of the sound of the boost anyway, I prefer just to dial in V1 and V2.

This brings back so many memories....My first "real" amp was a 1980 MKI
that my older bro gave me for my 14th B-Day in 1980. Unfortunately it was stolen 2 years later. If I ever find who did it........well you know That is a sweet amp, please make sure Mesa takes care of it for you..... |
