How can I acheive this effect?
The guitarist in this video (Josh Clark of Tea Leaf Green) uses an effect that is a watery sort of sound. I'm not good with pedals, but I've narrowed it down to a Rotosphere/Rotovibe effect or his MXR EVH-Phase 90. Possibly Both?
Fast-Forward to about 2:05 in. After the band hits the D Minor a few times, he plays the sig. lick from the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAIRQr0f-DM |

Sounds like a delay to me.

According to the guitarist, his pedals are as follows.....
Ernie Ball VP Jr. Passive Volume Pedal Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner MXR EVH Eddie Van Halen Phase 90 Ibanez CS-9 Stereo Chorus Boss BF-2 Flanger Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer Turbo Rat Ibanez TS-9 DX Turbo Tube Screamer Boss DD-3 Digital Delay So, it's probably just the delay...Maybe he kicks in the phase or flange for a sec... Definately delay but I am pretty sure the "liquid" warbling type tone you are refering to is a chorus turned up real fast with deep swells. |

I think the liquid warbling thing is the keyboard player. You can hear it a bit more after the solo.
I could be wrong.

I have an old CS-9. If you advance the settings, you can get a sort of Leslie sound like that. HK Tube Rotosphere does a better job.

I just did a quick google search for the guitarist and found an interview with the guy....

It's the keyboard player making that sound.

Okay, but he wants to know how to get that effect with a guitar pedal.
