I know, this thing is making me drool! Why are they putting this out when they already have a great RE-201 thing on the DD-20? WHYYYYYYYYYYYY??

Here's a pretty picture

That's what I want to know. Is this just the tape echo part of the DD-20 dressed up in its own Space Echo like pedal?

It has more parameters, that's for sure. It can double as a reverb pedal, looks like.

However, will the audience really notice? From a logical standpoint, it would seem they would make the RE-20 first and then the DD-20. I can't see the real point in this.

Doesn't mean I ain't buying it

Great idea and all, but I agree: they should have either come out with this prior to the DD-20 or squeezed some presets in there. I really hope this is different than the 'tape' mode on the DD-20.

A really cool thing to do would be to just come out with their own ME-50-sized dedicated delay/reverb floor unit, have a digital section and an 'analog' section (that uses the Space Echo cosmetics) and give it 30+ presets. That would put everyone to shame.

In the meantime, I'm still waiting on a DD-20 with more presets....

Looks amazing, I'm ready for disappointment though.

The lack of presets is somewhat strange. With my DD-20 I use both the presets (I wish there were more!) and an external tap tempo pedal. I have the four different preset slots set up as different types of delay and then I just tap in whatever tempo I need.

I am still very interested in this unit.

Seeing as they're now charging $150 for individual amp models when you can get an entire portable amp with multiple models and built in effects for $100 from the same company...its not really that surprising. We'll have to see what it sounds like though...although like alterdsounds I would be ready for disappointment.

They could have at least tossed in chorus and sound on sound also. :NUTS

I guess that's going to be reserved for the RE-30
