Sub-$500 Shred Guitar

Looking for something inexpensive to shred on. I want a floyd rose and buckers in both neck and bridge positions.

What should I look into? ...I'd like to keep it around $500 if possible.

+1 or any '80s Hamer really, Californian, Chapparal, all great bargains.

The only problem with 80's shredders is that the Floyd's knife edge may be worn, especially if it wasn't setup right.

+1 on the Ibanez RG5xx, expecially the RG550 with the maple fretboards.

Schecter is really the way to go here. Great bang for the buck. They should make more guitars like this.

Schecter all the way. I have two and they're awesome for the price, you just may have to replace the pickups depending on which one you get.

The Floyd Rose Discovery is a pretty sweet guitar with the Speedloader Tremolo. Or a BC Rich NJ Series Warlock or Mockingbird.

Get a Charvel Model series from the 80's. You won't find a better shredder for the $.
