Bill Chapin Relief Fund Instructions

Folks,

Lots of news to report here and I'll try to cover it all. First and most important:

Donations can be sent via Paypal to Shades@chapinguitars.com

Or by mail and priority mail only to:

William Chapin
1257 South Sycamore Street
Canby, OR 97013

Please do not send via UPS or FedEx as it will not get delivered. Only the US mail will forward to Bill and family.

No donation is too small and certainly none too big. Let's all rally and reach out as far as we can to any and all who can be of help.

Bill and family are all in good health and their spirits are as good as can be expected. They are absolutely amazed at the tremendous show of support from all so let's keep it coming.

Unfortunately a fireball tore through the house and the damage is worse than we had hoped with the house being totaled. There are certainly some things that will be salvaged but most are gone. Over the next few weeks Bill and family will list all their needs aside from what insurance and others will compensate for and I will help organize an effort to assist with that as well. For the moment, good old cash donations are the best.

For those with instruments on order, we can not tell you anything other than that, you will receive your instruments just as soon as we get Bill back up and running. He has already been running around the property more concerned about his clients parts, pieces, pickups etc..than putting his own life back together, so rest assured that you are high on his priority list and he will take care of you.

Contact Info: Bill has lost all your info. If and only if Bill needs your info, please email your name, address, phone and email address on a separate line in the body of the email to patty@destroyallguitars.com and PLEASE PUT CHAPIN CONTACT AS THE SUBJECT LINE.

We so greatly appreciate the tremendous show of support and concern for Bill and his family. Again we ask that you help us keep the phone lines open here so we can continue to communicate with him throughout the day and we will update you as we get more news.

It's time now for us all to dig in and show Bill and his family just how much they are loved and appreciated.

Bill is a great guy and produces one of the smoothest, silkiest guitar necks I have ever felt. My donation is on the way.

Hope Bill and his family can get back to a normal life asap.

James

Great job Cliff. You're a good friend as well as a business partner to the Chapins.

Thanks, Dana O.

Donation sent via PayPal. Fingerboards later.

Cliff, will you be my godfather??

Simply put, your efforts for Bill and family are absolutely topnotch and I could only hope to be on the beneficiary end if same happened to me!

Donation sent, which I hope helps in the short term. In the longer term, won't the fiber-optics company be liable for the damages?

Cliff,

Thanks for setting this up. Given your very significant health issues, your ability to put that aside and to extend yourself for someone else in need is rather amazing.
