Need a better stacker... More Sustain but thinner tone...Anyone?

So I have a TS-9 Silver going into T.C. Jauering DGTM for solo boost and sustain. I'm diggin' the tone of the sustain, but it's loosing it's bass and lower mid character and ends up sounding a bit too thin... leaves me a flat on solos...

So question is this, do I simply need a boost after the TS-9 or should I look at another OD? I use the RC Booster at the end of my chain and love it. I use it as a preamp for the amp.

What would you recommend?

Thanks!
Mike.

Sounds like you need a good compressor. Try the BJF PGC. It is unbelievable!!

I have a BB Preamp that I have been using in front of a Green Machine (TS9) and an Eternity with pretty fantastic results. Have you tried using the RC to boost the TS9? With the EQ on the BB I am astounded by how rich the tone is when I use it to drive my other OD's.

EQ pedal after all the dirt for leads.

Or replace the TS-9 with a Blue Boy Deluxe, possibly

It seems to me you're compounding your problem here. TS pedals cut bass to an extent. Maybe if you got a more flat eq'd OD to stack with one of them.

I've actually loved the tone of the TS-9 Silver/808 by itself, but when I kick in the DGTM it looses bass and sounds thinner. The TS-9 by itself sounds great and full. I'm thinking maybe a Sexdrive or another boost to make the solos bigger...any thoughts?

Thanks!

Definitely try the DGTM BEFORE the TS9. I love how well TS pedals take effected signals, e.g., fuzzes, treble boosters, OD, etc. As talkshowhost mentioned, try the RC BEFORE, too. As a rule, whenever putting two pedals in series, I always try both orders, to see which sound I prefer.

sweet... I will try that. I'm using the RC as a pre amp though at the end of the chain. I leave it on all the time and just use it to goose the amp a bit....
