4 8 ohm speakers - 16 Ohm
is there a way to wire up 4 8 ohm speakers to be 16 Ohms in a 4x12 cab?

With (4) 8 ohm spkrs you can get (4 ohms all parallel) (16 ohms series/parallel) (24 ohms all series).
You need (4) 16 ohm speakers wired series/parallel to get 8 ohm total. Two of those 8 ohm spkrs wired in series will give you 16 ohms. |

Sorry (4) 8 ohm spkrs will be 2 ohms wired all parallel.

Here is a link to a diagram that shows how to wire four 8 ohm speakers in series/parallel to get 8 ohms total.
