BJF & Lovepedal - Need descriptions of each of the pedals from users

I am very confused about what each of the BJF & Lovepedals is supposed to do? The Lovetone website is lacking any info on older/rarer pedals, and the BJF fansite (thanks Donner!) doesn't have a good description of each pedal or even list all of them. I'm looking for the name of the pedal and a description of what it does - simple as that. If you have clips or can compare the pedal to another more popular pedal, that could also help a lot.

For instance, a Woodrow could be described as Lovetone's take on a tweed distortion tone. A Super 6 is explained pretty clearly on the Lovetone site as a Super Reverb with certain settings. But, what the heck does a "Lo" sound like? Or a BJF Dyna Red?

If you own a BJF or Lovepedal, please try to let me know what each model sounds like.

Thanks,

Lavely

Sorry to be the first to correct you. It's Lovepedal, not lovetone (which is a different company).

Try this: http://www.custom-sounds.com/epages/...f/Catalog/1001

and look for the BJFs. There are a ton of clips and descriptions.

Musictoys has video demos too!

Fatback has a plethora of clips as well.

Dyna Red is BJ's take on a classic 70's like Marshall type of sound.

Somehow I had missed the clips on the Custom Sounds website - thanks for that link.

The two most popular Lovepedals seem to be the Eternity (aka 'E') and the COT-50 (stands for Church of Tone, not to be confused with KOT- King of Tone!). Confused yet? Stick around.

soybean - yes, I know the names, but what do each of them DO? I think I missed the initial fury of discovery, so now people just talk about them like they talk about a a TS-808 or a MXR Distortion+, in that everyone knows the benchmark tone (except for me!).

Well, I only have one Lovepedal, and it's a more rare one. It was called the 22 or DOV (Death Of a Vox). Sounds along the lines of an overdriven Vox at lower settings (a bit better if you roll off the volume on your guitar a bit), cranked up it sounds like a Vox approaching meltdown .

Fatback has lots of great videos on Google video:

Enjoy

Love Pedal LO=Simulates overdriven power tubes, does a good job of it too.
Love Pedal Black Beauty Balance=From boost to treble boost to fuzz

Those are the 2 that I have. Great pedals!
