Smile Great pedal day! Landgraff, Mad Professor

After a long (but well worth it) wait, today my custom Landgraff Dynamic Overdrive, MO'D and clean boost arrived. Plus, a buddy dropped off his Deep Blue delay for me to try out over the weekend. Clips to follow....it's going to be a good weekend

My only comment so far is on the clean boost - I don't think this one will ever be turned off.......

AWSOME!!! ...

I'm confused though... didn't you already have both an MOD and LDO?... Are there 2 LDO's in that picture? I can't wait to hear the MP delay...

I had a stock (slightly modded) MO'D, and a fully stock LDO (the red/blue swirl in the pic, which I am selling).

These pedals were tweaked a bit by John for my specific tonal requirements. The MO'D has tighter low end, and sounds a bit smoother and thicker than my last one, custom paint that will match a wah he is making for me, blue led. The LDO is voiced a little more aggressive and saturated than the stock one, JFET's in the down positions, custom paint, blue led. The clean boost is for the most part stock, custom paint, blue led, but came with a selection of various "main" components so that it can be voiced more for single coils or humbuckers. Right now it is doing a great job of making my les Paul sound clearer and more single coil like, though it can do serious overdrive when turned up all the way.

The MP is very cool, dark and warm, and the 1st repeat is louder than the dry tone like some old tape untis.

Cool, thanks for the info, Lou! Much appreciated.

I was wondering, how long did John quote you on the wah wait?... I think I might pick one up, but was wondering how long it takes. Also, how long did you wait for the other Landgraff's?... My LDO should finally be done next month, and I can't wait. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

M.

I don't remember if he quoted me a time or not, but these pedals were ordered at different times, but I would guess I waited maybe 6-7 months.

how does the Landy boost compare to the Zvex SHO, Catalinbread SCP, or Nick Greer Sonic Boom?

i tried the Landgraff boost at Devil-tone's house and liked it better than the RC Booster for my Marshall.

so now im on a boost hunt.

"Great pedal day! Landgraff, Mad Professor "

It just occurred to me that we should have a National Pedal Day. It should be a required Holiday for everyone (except Postal workers, UPS or FedEx). We should be paid for it and get to play with our toys all day without interruption.

Yeah man...it just adds 'something' to the tone. I can't wait for my M'OD to complete the array. Oh, and the fuzz & wah

landgraff

hey Lou, I have a slightly modded mo'd that I could trade for your new slightly modded one. Hope your enjoying yours as much as I am. Thanks. for any of you landgraff fans who might be into steely dan, I let drew zingg use the mo'd I got from Lou, and he totally dug it. It made him go into 5th gear. It was very cool, I didn't know if I was gonna be able to get it back or not. Great player and great guy thou. Mike
